On a lovely spring day in Co. Kilkenny, Liffey Valley AC finished 3rd Team in the 10km race. Darren Spring led the Team with a 9th place finish, with Pierce Geoghegan just behind in 13th place, having completed his doctors rounds earlier that morning.
Gerry Daly rolled back the years with a fine 14th place, while Javier Silvan ran a personal best XC race to finish 4th man home and claim the last bronze medal. Darren also took a gold medal as part of the winning Dublin county team.
The club fielded 10 athletes in total, with a few returning from injury. All athletes got stuck into the race, with Coach Jim Davis commenting that it augured well for future races.
