The death has occurred of James McDonald, father of our clubmate Linda Spratt

The Liffey Valley members extend our deepest sympathy to Linda and her Family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this sad time.

Removal from Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Clonsilla to St. Ciaran’s Church,
Hartstown on Friday evening, arriving at 5.30pm.

Funeral on Saturday after 10am Mass to Balgriffin Cemetery.

Mairead Murphy and Ciaran Reilly have retained their 800m titles in 2 competive races. John Parker won the 800m B race with an impressive sprint finish to hold off Gavin Curran & John Cullen.

George and Myles are fondly remembered by Liffey Valley AC members and we are proud to continue our links with George and Myles by naming our summer road races after two club legends.

20/06/2009 - Dublin Track Championships

Ciaran Reilly ran a season best time of 4.13 to win silver in the 1500m championship. Martin Dorgan also claimed silver in the 1500m Masters race.

09/06/2009 - Womens Mini Marathon Stewards

Sincere thanks to all members and their friends who helped out as stewards at the race last weekend. This was another successful outing for the club.

09/06/2009 - Dublin Graded Meetings

With half of the Dublin Graded Meetings series complete, there have been many fine performances from LVAC athletes.

 Liffey Valley AC Coaching

The club has been privileged to have among its members a fully qualified coach in the name of Jim Davis.

Jim is the Athletics Ireland National Endurance Coach.

Jim is a recognised coach among his peers and have proved himself successful, having been part of the 2004 Irish Olympic Team and represented the club at the 2005 World Cross Country Champonships, 2006 & 2008 European Athletics Championships.

Jim is coaching athletes at all levels and all ages. He is also a regular contributor to www.coachingireland.com.
